Together with its physician partners, Fairview Southdale Hospital now offers the da Vinci^® Surgical System, a sophisticated robot that helps physicians perform surgeries for delicate and complex conditions that include heart disease, cancer and obesity. Surgeons perform surgery using a magnified, three-dimensional view through small surgical incisions.

Robot-assisted surgeries offer patients many advantages: a faster recovery, a shorter length of hospital stay and less pain. Other advantages include minimal scarring, less risk of infection and a faster return to normal activities.
