Award honors hospitals achieving best practices in patient safety

Fairview Southdale Hospital has received a Patient Safety Excellence Award from the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA). The award honors superior performance in preventing adverse health events and is given to hospitals that are actively participating in one of MHA's safety campaigns.

Fairview Southdale Hospital received the award for Safe Count—achieving 90 percent or higher of the campaign roadmap steps promoting best practices in patient safety.
