Fairview Southdale Hospital is pleased to welcome M. Obinna Nwaneri, M.D. to our Medical Oncology Clinic.

Dr. Nwaneri practices hematology and medical oncology. His expertise increases the services offered at the clinic for patients in the southwest metro and beyond.

Dr. Nwaneri joins Drs. Bender, Bowers and Ge to provide specialty care for those diagnosed with cancer.

Comprehensive cancer care
Fairview Southdale Medical Oncology Program is one component of Fairview Southdale Hospital’s comprehensive cancer program that includes state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities, surgical specialties, radiation oncology, lymphedema therapy and hospital care. Our program is recognized by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Caner for high quality care; only one in four hospital-based cancer programs receive this special distinction. Fairview Southdale Hospital is in the top six percent of such programs.

Holistic approach to care
Our cancer care team includes both traditional and non-traditional care providers. We provide social service support as well as individual and family counseling services to help the patient and their family handle the life changes that come with the cancer diagnosis. Additionally, we support patients partnering with experts in other treatment options such as herbal therapy, acupuncture and massage therapy.
